Beer of the Night...4/9/2011

Tonight's beer of the night comes all the way from Deleware! It is the current seasonal beer from Dogfish Head (one of my favorite breweries)...Aprihop. I have had this brew a couple of times now and each time it keeps growing on me.

Description: Aprihop 7% abv. A lighter IPA beer brewed with Apricots. The combination gives a nice hoppy and fruity taste which is extremely refreshing, especially on the first real day of spring.

Grade: A-

This brew comes in a four pack and is only available until the end of May so make your way to your local packy and grab a case or two and cheers to the beginning of nice weather, baseball, and the end of the school year.

Also make sure to check out the Dogfish Head's website and see their beer schedule for upcoming seasonals and beers they have available all year long.

    How jealous would you be if I told you I've met and shook hands with Sam Calagione?

    Next time I drive down to school, I'm taking a detour, heading north and I'm picking you up in Boston and bringing you with me and we're going to the dogfish head brewery. And the restaurant, of course.

    Not gonna lie, I am quite jealous. I almost spontaneously drove down to Dogfish for a weekend like 3 weeks ago but my friend who I wanted to join could not be as spontaneous as I would have liked him to be. But I'm down to go! Love Dogfish and think Sam is an excellent brewer and great business man.

    This is indeed a good beer. I found it as a $2 happy hour special at a restaurant here in CT

    I feel upset that you are proclaiming any brewery other than Harpoon would be your favourite as Har-poon have the MOST accommodating visiting hours that enable everyone to come all the time. One might even say Harpoon is as legit as poontang.

    One must also feel that Katie Karlberg (who might have been better off if she was name Katie Carlsberg) is a rather upstanding individual if she is offering to drive you to breweries. Please let her know that I am normally available for "picking up" too.
